Hawaiian Airlines Officially Becomes Qantas Frequent Flyer Members

Guess what, rewards travellers? You can officially book reward seats on Hawaiian Airlines flights as a result of Hawaiian Airlines becoming the latest Qantas Frequent Flyer member airline.

Hawaiian Airlines has also entered a bilateral codeshare agreement with Qantas as the carrier nears oneworld membership. This leaves travellers with a more convenient network of flights within Hawaii and across the United States.

What's the Benefit?

“Hawaiian Airlines has served Australia for 21 years, and we’re thrilled to extend our unique onboard services, products, and experiences—rooted in authentic Hawaiian hospitality—to even more Aussies through our partnership with Qantas,” said Alex Judson, Managing Director of Partnerships and International at Hawaiian and Alaska Airlines.

This marks the beginning of a strategic partnership between Qantas and Hawaiian Airlines. With access to Hawaiian Airlines’ global network, travellers can now visit all four major Hawaiian Islands as well as 15 cities across the US and 10 international destinations. Hawaiian Airlines operates nonstop flights between Sydney and Honolulu on their Airbus A330, the aircraft hosts 18 Premium Cabin lie-flat seats, 68 Extra Comfort seats, and 192 Main Cabin seats.

“We know Hawaii is one of the most sought-after destinations for our Frequent Flyers and the partnership with Hawaiian Airlines will be welcome news for members eyeing up their next overseas trip. “Our members will be able to use their points to connect to one or all four major Hawaiian Islands or look to build Honolulu into their itinerary as a convenient stopover en route to North America,” said Andrew Glance, CEO of Qantas Loyalty.

What does this mean?

The development follows Hawaiian Airlines’ merger with Alaska Airlines. Now, they offer non-stop service between Honolulu, Sydney, and Auckland. Travellers can also take advantage of same-day, one-stop connections to several North American cities such as Los Angeles and New York City.

Qantas’ partnership with Hawaiian Airlines continues to expand their number of seats unlocked through flagship partners, which grew by almost one-third in 2025.

“The number of Classic Reward seats booked with partner airlines has doubled in the last five years, so we know how important it is that we continue to invest in growing our network and provide members with more opportunities to use their points,” added Glance.
