Singapore Airlines Increases Award Seat Prices

Singapore Airlines travellers can expect higher award redemption rates on their flights from 1 November 2025. As well as all new earning options for KrisFlyer members.

If you’re an Australian who has a ton of KrisFlyer Miles or American Express Membership Rewards Points ready to convert, we would love to help you save money on your next luxury holiday – contact one of our skilled Rewards Travel Specialists to start making the most of your points.

The Expected Increases

According to the airline, the ‘Saver’ award rates for Business and First Class suites within Asia and the South West Pacific will see a 5% increase. That’s not all, long-haul flights to Europe and the United States will also see a 5% increase across all classes. On the brighter side, economy ‘Saver’ awards seats are set to decrease 5%. The most notable award seat price spikes are seen on Singapore Airlines flights to Africa, the Middle East, and Turkey. These costs will rise between 10% – 20% depending on the destination.

Their ‘Advantage’ award rates will also become more expensive with a climb between 10% – 15% across most regions and aircraft cabins. Once again, travellers will see even steeper spikes (some up to 18% in Business Class) on flights to Africa, the Middle East, and Turkey.

If you’re a traveller who is sitting on a significant number of collected KrisFlyer Miles, now might be the time to secure any flights you’ve had your eyes on. All bookings ticketed by 31 October 2025 will be honoured at current rates.

New Ways to Earn Status Points

Singapore Airlines will also diversify how members can earn KrisFlyer status points and qualify for elite status. From 1 September 2025, Kris+ dining, shopping, KrisShop purchases, and Pelago experiences will all account toward PPS Value or Elite miles.

PPS Club members: 1 PPS Value per S$3 spent

KrisFlyer members: 1 Elite mile per S$1 spent

However, caps will apply. KrisFlyer Elite Gold members can earn up to 10,000 Elite miles, and PPS club members can earn up to 2,500 PPS value annually through this method. This leaves members with more flexibility, especially for those who might not rack up a significant number of points from flights alone.

New Dynamic Pricing

KrisFlyer will also debut its new ‘Access’ redemption. This is a feature that allows members to secure confirmed seats on Singapore Airlines flights through their accumulated miles, with Dynamic pricing based on demand.

The ‘Access’ award system will run alongside their current ‘Saver’ and ‘Advantage’ categories. Offering travellers more availability at a premium – at the moment, we don’t have confirmation of what the Access pricing will look like.
